Registration Process
The interested couple must come to the Parish Office to reserve at least 6 months before the desired wedding date. Couples are to fill out the following forms:
Wedding Rules Sheet
First Interview Sheet
These sheets will be given to you at the Parish Office. Once the sheets have been filled out and turned in, the couple is then able to book their date. A $200 deposit is required when booking a wedding date (Total is $450. The $200 deposit comes out of the $450).
Paperwork
The following paperwork is required 3 months before the wedding:
Updated Baptism Certificate
Must be recent / cannot be older than 6 months
Must be the physical document issued by the Church
Copies/scanned versions will not be valid
First Communion and Confirmation Certificates
ID's
Marriage License
If the couple is married by the court, they must bring the signed marriage license to the office
If the couple is not married by the court, they must go to their county courthouse to purchase a blank marriage license
This document is REQUIRED. No exceptions. In the State of Texas, it is illegal to have a wedding without a legal marriage license.
Documents must be turned in 3 months before the wedding. If documents are missing 3 months before, it will cause the ceremony to be re-scheduled at a later time with no refund.

The following preparation process is in place to be completed 6 months before the wedding:
Preparation Classes
Course with Father Carmelo about the Sacrament of Marriage
Individual Preparation Class
Couple will be assigned a couple to give them an individual preparation
Canonical Interview
Couple must come in to do a Pre-Questionare
Couple must select 4 people (2 people for the Bride, and 2 people for the Groom) that have known them for at least 10 years or more and are willing to answer questions about them (Preferably family members).
The couple must come to Mass EVERY Sunday before the Wedding date. You will be given envelopes to turn in during the Mass to confirm your attendance.
For the Wedding
A Choir is required to play during the Mass
We only allow Choirs from St. Leo to play during these Masses since they are familiar with the way of the Mass done here. Please come by the office to pick up a listing with the choir contacts.
Flowers
The altar must be decorated with real flowers by contacting the information given at registration
Flowers on the pews are optional
Flowers must also be left there to have the altar decorated for the weekend Masses
Throwing things on the floor is NOT permitted
Couple must be there 15 minutes before the start of the Mass
The priest will allow 15 minutes to go by. If the couple is running late and does not show up at least 15 minutes after the start time, the wedding will be re-scheduled and no refund will be given.
Special Cases
If there is a special reason that is detaining the wedding process, please consult with Father Carmelo on how to proceed. Do not let anything detain you from receiving a Sacrament in the Church. Special Cases may include:
One or both do not have one or more of the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation)
Sacraments were celebrated in another country, and it is difficult to retreive original certificates
One or both work crazy schedules at work that prevents you all from attending formation classes
