The parent/guardian of the child must come to the Parish Office 6 months before the desired quinceañera date. The following is required upon registration:
Baptism and First Communion Certificate
Deposit of $225
We do not book any XV celebrations earlier than 6 months
Preparation Process
The family (along with the child) must come to Mass EVERY Sunday before the XV date. You will be given envelopes to turn in during the Mass to confirm your attendance
The child must assist 2 retreats (1 by herself and 1 with her parents)
If the child is already in High School. she must be signed up for Confirmation classes
These preparations are in place to have a good faith structure for her and the family.
Failure to complete any of the preparations listed above will result in a cancellation or re-scheduling of the celebration without a refund.
The Mass
It is required that there be a Choir playing during the Mass
We only allow choirs from St. Leo to play during celebrations. Please come or call the Parish Office for a list of choirs
The readings for the Mass will be the readings for the day
(Example: If the celebration is on May 16, the readings read during the Mass will be for May 16)
The altar must be decorated with flowers
Flowers must also be left there to have the altar decorated for the weekend Masses
You will need to have the Bible, Rosary, Flowers for the Virgin Mary, and the candle (Preferably the one used for her Baptism)
Important Information
If you are wanting to change the date after it has been booked, you will have to pay the remaining balance of the celebration in order for it to be switched
Quinceañeras are only celebrated at 11:00am on Saturdays. If there is no celebration scheduled for 1:00pm or 3:00pm 6 months before the celebration, you are able to change the date to a later time, but you do have to pay the remaining balance.
You must be on time to the Mass. If you are over 15 minutes late, the celebration will be cancelled and no refund will be given
